Mary Kay responsive website | Pink Diamonds
The responsive hotsite created for Mary Kay aimed to publicize the Pink Diamonds Cultural Contest during the product Launch Campaign period. The hotsite was used as a publicity and promotion tool.
Mary Kay clients participated in the Contest by sending their videos with testimonials about their best friends. Then, there was voting for the best videos on the hotsite itself, with various prizes distributed. Thus, according to the ranking, the prizes were Vivara diamonds, Swarovski pens, as well as new perfume kits.
The Cultural Competition hotsite reached an average of 20,000 visitors/month during the campaign period. In addition, more than 1,000 videos were sent for voting.
Technology
Developed in HTML5/PHP, the programming tool converted videos sent in different formats to single mp4 formats. This way, users who upload their videos would not have to worry about the type of video, nor the size of the files. Furthermore, the AWS servers used did not allow the website to be overloaded with file sizes.
